Juniper Removal Cost Share Opportunity
Program Description
For landowners located in McKenzie, Dunn, Billings and Slope counties, enrolled in NRCS EQIP practice 314, this program offers an additional $100 per acre offset for juniper removal. Removal of juniper stands that have encroached on grasslands helps:
- Reclaim shaded out forage
- Increase drought resiliency
- Reduce fire severity
- Improve landowner’s access to land
